Reveal | Pokémon Trainer Yuri figma

Written by | Featured

The Pokémon Company and Good Smile Company seem to have a very good relationship with each other as evident with their Pokémon Center exclusive releases. This figma figure of the default female protagonist found in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is no different.

With the release of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, Good Smile Company colloborated with The Pokémon Company to provide a preorder bonus if you purchased the game from a Pokémon Center. This preorder bonus were figures of the three starters found in the Galar region, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble. It was assumed that they would be released again with a figma figure, but it appears that the ones bundled with this figma are of a completely different sculpt.

Preorder bonus for Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield

Yuri is the default name for the female trainer in Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield, though her localized name is Gloria.

Pokémon Trainer Yuri figma features:

  • Standard expression face plate
  • Glittering face plate
  • Closed eyes face plate
  • 11 hand parts
  • Backpack
  • Poké Ball
  • Dynamax band
  • Grookey figure
  • Scorbunny figure
  • Sobble figure
  • Articulated figma stand
  • figma storage bag

The Pokémon Trainer Yuri figma is currently up for preorder until October 25, 2020 exclusively through Pokémon Center in Japan, though we can expect to see it available through places like AmiAmi and the US Pokémon Center website eventually. This figma is retailing for ¥9000 and has an expected release date of June 2021.

In addition to Yuri, a silhouette of Gym Leader Raihan was shown as a teaser for an upcoming figma release! I wonder what other characters we can expect to see in the future.

If you’re on your way to becoming the very best like no one ever was, will you be picking up Yuri? Let us know your thoughts!
