One figure that we are anticipating is the Batman 1989 S.H.Figuarts from Bandai Tamashii Nations but that was perhaps until we’d seen these shots from a Hong Kong showroom. Whilst it’s never advisable to judge a figure from distance, especially when it’s most likely a prototype but this one does seem to lack that distinct ‘Bandai Quality‘ which is generally associated with S.H.Figuarts releases.
Now yes, this particular iteration of Batman played by Michael Keaton in the 1989 Tim Burton film is not known for the same level of dynamic action as more recent versions, nor is the Bat-suit quite as tactical in its appearance so naturally, this figure is going to be somewhat ‘plain’ but even so, there’s something not quite right.
We’re not sure whether its the thick-cut cape, non-detailed utility belt or the muddled looking eyes but regardless, fingers crossed this is just an advanced prototype and things will develop further for the final release.
