We held our breath as SDCC’19 rolled around, and then ACGHK’19 and then several other Exhibitions as we waited for a glimpse of the Hot Toys Mysterio, but those came and went without even a sniff. However, we did get a tease a few weeks back with the news of the HT Homecoming Home-Made Suit Re-Release and this morning we wake up to a full preview of Mysterio himself.

Straight off the bat here, lets just say that the detailing shown in todays preview is pretty awesome and intricate and really delivers on our wishes. The cape in-particular has received a lot of attention as has the luminous chest piece. Whilst things are looking rosey, there are a few caveats. Namely, there’s no Jake Gyllenhaal headsculpt which is going to be a sticking point for some collectors and there is also a highly visible seam on the helmet dome (Which, at least HT didn’t photoshop out of these press images). Another nice feature here is another diorama based cooked up by the Studio Hive to go alongside their other work on the Molten Man base.

Mysterio is slated for release Q3-Q4 2021 so sit tight!

We’ve compiled a full list of figure features below :
