Brian Rungkat (@akirajo9) is back without quick & tidy tutorial as he walks us through his super simple process of making your figures fly without Photoshop. Check out his walkthrough and equipment list below :
- S.H Figuarts Captain Marvel
- A piece of glass
- 2x Usb Led lights
- lume cube
Figure used :
- SHF Captain Marvel
- Sony a7, lens Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8
My idea was to capture Captain Marvel in flight without the use of editing software.
First, we need a piece of clear glass and to set it up as pictured below at an angle. You can then use two USB LEDs for lights to blend with the background and since the figure is facing down, you will need another source of light to light it up and in this case, I used a Lume Cube.
Then, choose your desired camera setting and angle, making sure no reflections off the glass can be seen anywhere on the frame. Now you can take your shots and for the added details, I used an extra USB LED light to light-paint the proton trails, basically this stage is trial and error and that is essentially all there is to it.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I love sharing them with you.
