The Hasbro panel at SWC’19 has wrapped up and during it we were treated to a variety of reveals and announcements including previews of SDCC’19 Exclusives, packaging looks at previously shown figures & much more.

More new shots below including Black Series & The Vintage Collection

Kenner Style Boba Fett – Black Series
The 40th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back is almost upon us and to celebrate, Hasbro are releasing an Exclusive Boba Fett in the classic Kenner Colour Way whilst maintaining the look and feel of the modern Black Series releases. Some nice touches here with the carded design and the painted, infamous, rocket launcher.

Luke Skywalker Triple Pack – The Vintage Collection
Hasbro ran a short video package focusing on the main protagonist of the Original Trilogy and revealed a celebratory pack that combines 3 of his most iconic costumes. Stormtrooper Disguise, Jedi Knight & Red Five are all included with brand new face sculpts and tooling across the figures and all come within the same packaging format as 2018’s Doctor Aphra, BT & Triple Zero release.

Anakin, Yoda, Darth Maul, Scout Trooper – The Black Series Archive
Following on from the fan-pleasing first wave of the Archive Collection, we got our first full look at the second wave in packaging. We’ve known for a while who would make up this wave but it’s great to see them present here in the final packaging. We’re instantly drawn to Maul here as he seems to really fill the packaging wheras Yoda naturally looks very small in the big blister window. The new face sculpt on Anakin here looks great and is leaps and bounds above the previous release. The waver releases Summer’19.

“Production Prototype” Kenner Darth Vader – Black Series SDCC’19 Exclusive
Hasbro put up some stills of various production samples of recent figures including 4-LOM & a Praetorian Guard in vibrant colours as the process looks to simply get plastics into the molds to judge the scukpt. These bright figures have been translated in a special Darth Vader Kenner-Style release which will be an SDCC’19 Exclusive and is made up of 6 different colours across the various components of the figure.

Emperor Palpatine – Black Series Deluxe
Now we have already seen this figure doing the rounds thanks to a leak at the beginning of the week but now Hasbro have confirmed its legitimacy and that it will indeed be an Amazon release that you can pre-order on April 13th. Its the first Black Series to come with 2 alternative headsculpts and also features his Throne, soft goods for the robe and lighting bolt effects. I see now why they waiting to officially reveal it at SWC’19 as it coincides with the reveal that the character will return in Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge – Black Series Exclusive 1/3
Hasbro also announced that there are 3 Exclusive Black Series packs that will be sold only at the upcoming Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge attraction. The first of these packed was another set that we saw leaked earlier in the year that included Kylo Ren, Commander Pyre, a MSE Droid & a Mountain Trooper. It was explained that the packs are not decorated with any “Star Wars” or Hasbro logo’s so that the pack feels like an item you could find within the Star Wars universe. We also saw the other 2 packs – One pack featured 4 Droids (BB-8, R2, 3PO and the Star Tours Droid) and the other featured Hondo Ohnaka, Rey, Chewbacca and some newly tooled Porgs.

We saw a TON more from the Hasbro Panel including the latest in their Black Series Helmet Prop line with the addition of Lukes “Red Five” helmet, packaging reveals of an array of Vintage Collection pieces revealed at NYTF’19 & more. As soon as we have the official glamour shots from Hasbro we will update this space so bookmark us and stay tuned.
