Throughout December we’ll be showcasing work from across the community in a retrospective project dubbed “My Top 3 2018”. Sophie Forget (@o_ther_svr) is up next in our series sharing their personal favourites from 2018 along with a few reason behind why she picked them. Its over to Sophie to introduce his selection :

+ Alien dog – Kotobukiya.
+ EOS Canon 70D – 50mm Lens.

First picture : Like an evidence ! My favorite toy and also my favorite creature ever. This shot was funny to take, like 90% of the time it was an ” impulssive shot ” as I say often. This is my way to work, a thought, a music, a look on an inspiring environment and let go. So, this day I found the light in the room very charming and who says charming says… Alien to me. So I grabbed it, putted it backlight, did the same with my camera and I, haha, and take the shot. I really love the soft warm colors of the background, it makes it very dynamic !

+ Nick Wilde – Complex Movie Revo.
+ EOS Canon 70D – 50mm Lens – Leds – Clothes.
The second for many reasons. This image reminds me someone important in my life, it was featured by #withtoysinmind ( by Exclu’s own Dan Leonard ) I was very proud to take part of this project and because it was really fun to play with those different textures and lightings. I like the calm feeling in it and the shy smile that Nick have in this picture.

+ Drossel – Figma Action figure.
+ EOS Canon 70D – 50mm Lens.

The last, again with a soft backlight. I always try to make my toys looking alive so it was very interesting to see how sweet and sensitive this lady robot could become in such rustic environment. This is a very contrasted picture, in many different ways !

A huge thank you to Sophie for sharing her 2018 favourite pieces and if you want to get involved and share your Top 3 then all you need to do is email with your 3 creations (toy shots, customs or dios) along with your name and a few paragraphs explaining your choices.

Be sure to catch more of Sophie’s portfolio over on Instagram via @o_ther_svr
