Slowly but surely we’re getting the whole crew together! It’s been a bit of a wait since “Bones” McCoy was released, but the miracle-working head of Engineering, Montgomery “Scotty” Scott is finally here. Well, up for pre-order soon anyway, but Quantum Mechanix (Qmx) generally has production well underway, if not completed when pre-orders go up, so it shouldn’t be long until you have him in your detolf.
This 1/6th Scotty comes with:
Fully Articulated Body: More than 30 points of articulation allows the figure to be displayed in multiple dynamic poses, approximately 30 cm tall.
Realistic Portrait: Faithfully rendered by a top artist, this is a realistic portrait of Scotty with a detailed likeness. Each head sculpt is specially hand-painted.
Clothing: Starfleet Duty Uniform Tunic, Starfleet Standard-Issue Black T-Shirt, Starfleet Duty Uniform Pants with magnets sewn into the pants allow the magnetic phaser and communicator to be worn as they were in the show., leather-like boots, and Starfleet insignia base.
Accessories: Phaser (with magnetic, removable “Type II” palm phaser, detailed communicator, Tricorder with opening doors.
Hands: Relaxed hands (with missing finger on right hand), fists, two right phaser hands (for holding both types of phasers), Left accessory hand.
You can order Scotty soon on most of your favorite distributors or direct from Quantum Mechanix (qmxonline.com).
Trevor is a New York-based Creative Director and business owner. He has a growing collection of 200ish 1:6th scale stock and custom figures (and more and more Lego sets and Mezcos). Toy photography melds his childhood dreams of comic book illustration and film directing with his design talents and – in his mind – justifies the stupid money he spends on these things. When he’s not shooting, he enjoys kayaking, catching up on good TV and building dios.
