Kyleigh Parker takes on an Exclu Themed Shoot as she tackles the theme “Harmony” alongside the charming miniature figures from Nendoroid exposing us to another area of the community which we have yet to fully engage with with amazing results!

I never in my life thought I would find myself expressing emotions, past memories, and my life’s adventures through a 3 1/2 inch figure. Yet here I am.. I can still remember the first figure I fell in love with. It was the Link action figure from Ocarina of Time. I took that toy with me everywhere. He was my favorite thing on the planet. He rode with me in my backpack on my hikes through the woods. He went with me on family trips. And even now he sits on my shelf in my home all these years later. A little beat up, but he still holds the charm he did for me when I was a child.

I think toys have a special way of reaching people. They hold more than just nostalgia and memories. For me they were little companions in a way. I was a pretty lonely kid growing up. Don’t get me wrong, I had a wonderful family and siblings, but I always felt different. I often wondered if there was something wrong with me. I didn’t have the same talent and gifting that everyone praised my siblings for. I felt like I would never find “my thing”.

And I didn’t for several years. I’ve always collected toys. But never really did much else with them. Until 3 years ago. I finally felt like I found something I was decent at. I could tell stories through these toys. Not only the character’s stories, but mine as well.

Each photo I take is a memory. A precious memory. A memory from my life, my childhood, and my dreams. I put so much of myself in my art and I didn’t even realize it until I was asked to be in this magazine. I care so much for people. And I feel like my purpose is to make people smile. We live in such a dark world we often forget there is beauty here too. There is always hope. And you can find harmony, peace, and purpose if you look hard enough. Don’t give up.
