At Exclu, we always like to take the time to explore the work of individuals with great potential who we think will soon be hitting it big on our social feeds.

Jared Beerman is a photographer who has a modest following on his Instagram page @beermanphotography and we feel that more people should be taking note of his work. Jared is constantly experimenting with new photographic techniques and brings his location to the heart of his photography and its going to be very interesting watching him continue to develop his skills behind the lens as he is definitely one to watch. We caught up with him recently to get an angle on his background and to get an insight into one of his shoots.

“I enjoy taking pictures of wildlife and landscape photography, and always bring a tool box full of Star Wars 6 inch Black Series figures along. I recently went and did some waterfall photography with the old man;  it was an overcast day after a rainstorm… perfect for waterfall shots.

I really enjoy taking the figures into nature and letting the scenery add to the story of the shot. Waterfalls always make a great background, but we stumbled across a large pile of rocks and thought it would be perfect for some Jedi force training. A dead log made a perfect perch for a victorious Boba Fett, along with a trap two Jedi fell into.

I’ve been a photographer for over a year and a half and just got into toy photography this summer. I really love toy photography as an activity as it can be done anytime. It’s not weather dependent like other types of photography. The challenges of story telling and detail orientation make the whole process very creative and teach me new skills that can be applied to all photography.”

A huge thank you to Jared for taking the time to give us an insight into his own creative practise and we really cannot wait to see his skills and techniques develop over time as he is always willing to try new things and be experimental which is the key to successful shoots. If you feel the same then head over to Jared’s page @beermanphotography to stay up-to-date with his work and as always, leave a comment below to let us know your thoughts.
